Sharareh Tayar was born in Isfahan and now lives in Pardis, west of Tehran.
She has been working in children's theatre since 2002.
In 2016, Sharareh earned a Master of Arts in Puppetry from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Tehran. In 2019, she completed a degree in Child Psychology at the Nik-Avin Institute of Psychology.
Alongside her work with her own theatre company, Cheragh Khab, she teaches puppetry at the University of Tehran and theatre at Soore University. She is Head of the Children's and Youth Department at the Sorayaeehaa Academy and teaches creative theatre and philosophy for children in schools and educational institutions throughout Tehran.
She has also worked as a writer and puppeteer for television productions.
With her own productions, she has toured internationally in Poland, Indonesia, South Korea, and Belarus. Sharareh Tayar has maintained a close artistic collaboration with Theaterkumpanei for the past ten years. Her artistic work has received numerous awards.

2005–2011: Honoured for her puppetry performances in Crow, The Boy and the Wolf, Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves of Baghdad, and Mrs Pumpkin Rattle at the UNIMA International Puppetry Festival.
2016: Best Director for What Does Courage Mean? at the Hamedan International Children's and Youth Theatre Festival.
2018: ASSITEJ Iran Special Award for Black Zebra (Wazba) at the Hamedan International Children's and Youth Theatre Festival.
2022: Best Play Text and Best Director for Please Smile! at the Hamedan International Children's and Youth Theatre Festival.
2023: Best Director and Best Puppetry Performance for Blue Sea at the Yazd International Children's and Youth Theatre Festival.
